We have been teaching Ashihara Karate throughout the Tameside area since 1992 and became the Tameside Martial Arts Centre in May 2002 when we opened our first fulltime dojo at 10-12 Ashton Road, Denton, Manchester.

The dojo had a double fronted shop, parent viewing/refreshment area and two small training areas (the main area had a sprung wooden floor and the other was matted.)

However it soon became apparent that the training areas were too small for the number of students that we were attracting, and so we additionally rented the
Main Hall in the nearby Festival Hall, Denton.

  We have since transferred our classes to St Thomas More High School and shut the Ashton Road dojo.

We have also recently opened a new Kids Kickboxing
class at the St John Ambulance Centre on Taylor Lane, Denton

We continue to offer a wide range of Martial Arts classes for students of all ages and currently have over one hundred active students training with us each week.
 We also supply all manner of Martial Arts equipment to our students, from Gi’s to weapons and if it’s not in stock, we will get hold of it in time for your next class.
