For children of primary school age we offer what we consider to be Japan's most effective Karate system.

Ashihara Fighting Karate contains all of the standard blocks, counters and kicks found in the traditional Martial Arts however there is a much greater emphasis on SABAKI (body evasion by rotation) than any other style.

This allows children to control attackers who may be much taller or heavier than themselves by using their weight and momentum against them.  At our full time facility we are able to offer classes where students only train with others of similar age and grade.

Although a serious Martial Arts system, we know the best way for children to learn and new skills are to make them fun.  Most beginner students achieve their Black Belt in around three years.
